Welcome to the ARC UK Board page! Our volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year to make sure the ARC projects run as smoothly as possible. We've all been on projects and are passionate about the work ARC does. Learn a little more about us below.
Sarah Morton works with the other Boards across Europe to keep our projects running smoothly as well as building maintaining relationships with host churches. She first became involved in ARC as a guide in Speyer. Her background is in social anthropology, art history and fine art; she is a painter and currently also works in gallery education and community art in Scotland.
Charley Roe recruits and trains English-speaking volunteers each year. He works together with the Recruitment Assistants.
All current and prospective ARC volunteers should contact Jack in the first instance.
Rory Lamb looks after the finances of ARC UK. He keeps our accounts, oversees fundraising and administers quarterly expenses. Prospective benefactors are invited to contact him.
Anna Beketov creates all publicity material. Anna is currently working at the British Museum whilst studying for a masters in Arts Management at Birkbeck, University of London. Her undergraduate degree is in History of Art from the University of Leeds and she joined the ARC committee after having the time of her life on an ARC project in Beziers.
Organisations or individuals wishing to become involved with ARC are welcome and should contact Anna.
The Revd Jules Cave Bergquist has been the chaplain of ARC UK for many years. We could never be what we are today without her support, encouragement, practical help and enthusiasm for our work!
If you would like to get involved with ARC UK, please do get in touch. Associate positions on the board open every year. Alternatively, you are welcome to attend our autumn AGM - contact the Secretary for details. And of course, the best way to see what we do is to apply for and go on a project of your own!
